The DialAFlight team (http://www.dialaflight.com/) had a wonderful time recently in Malawi when they went to check out the progress of our new double block classroom at Ngwenya Primary School which they have kindly funded.
The team – Giles Golding, Dean Smith, Paul Markham, Kelly Francis and Nicola Payne had fun playing games with the children followed by cutting the ribbon and enjoying the dancing and music at the opening ceremony. They also took the opportunity to visit our Mbelekete Primary School during their visit to Malawi.

Well done and thank you to our dedicated team of media students – “THE DEGREES” (Aleksandra Atanasova, Samuel Hogbin, Sara Joce and Lydia Hammond) who have won the “Best Campaign” in the “Media Campaign Awards 2011″ at Canterbury Christ Church University. The team developed a fantastic, innovative advertising project to help Build A School develop ideas on fundraising and to raise the profile of our new sustainable living Tickbird Visitor Centre in Malawi.
Congratulations team!

Thank you and well done to the staff and pupils of Days Lane Primary School in Sidcup, Kent who have kickstarted their fundraising for us. They have already held a successful quiz night and a non school uniform day will be organised soon, amongst other exciting events. Miss Kelly Randall, a teacher at the school, will also be participating in a great sponsored walk across London at the end of May. Good luck to everyone and we look forward to hearing all about their achievements!
