Our women’s co-operative had their first essential oil training session on Quality Control and Distillation in the summer. Thank you to Bruce Dolby, our consultant chemist, who very kindly conducted the training during the Build A School team trip to Malawi. It was an extremely successful day and all the women were taught how to use the distillation equipment and the essential oil still – their participation in the practical demonstrations was excellent and it was very impressive to see the end results!

Our women’s co-operative are now the very proud owners of some carefully chosen pink mountain bikes – lessons on how to ride them are underway with great success!
Huge thanks goes to the charity Re-Cycle (http://www.re-cycle.org/About/Downloads) who provide bicycle aid for Africa and The Salvation Army in Mchinji for some great teamwork. These bikes will make an enormous difference to our women and make travelling between their village and workshop, often with heavy loads, much easier. Funds raised from the sale of bikes at the bike workshop in Mchinji are put towards …
Well we certainly had some ‘fun with a purpose’ at Castle Combe recently at our charity track day!
A big thank you to Architecture Verte (www.verte.co.uk) for sponsoring the day, the drivers and everyone at Castle Combe Circuit (www.castlecombecircuit.co.uk) and of course Mr. Christopher Darwin. The day was extremely successful and over £5,000 was raised to be split between us and Combat Stress. We also had some great rides in some (very fast!) lovely cars.
Take a look at more pictures from the day on our Facebook page at: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150514858363182.376458.108214858181&type=3&l=bf637b99e1

Mishon Mackay have already made a great start to their fundraising with an incredibly successful quiz night held in February which raised over £2,000! For their next exciting event, Tina Wenham, Manager, will be running the Brighton Marathon and we would really appreciate …
