2007
Build A School was formed in 2007 with a focus on building classroom blocks in Malawi. The team has grown and continued to work with partners to fund school buildings in both Malawi and India.
2008
The trustees helped drive the charity’s vision in sustainable education and Build A School has grown it’s team of technical advisers and volunteer fundraisers. Build A School partnered the Department for International Development to build an urban project in Lilongwe. Build A School also partnered HSBC in a school build project in Vizag, India. Early start for me, tea to get me going and then into Lilongwe to meet a builder.

I discuss the availability of cement with our contractor and then off to the bank.

What we do »
Build A School started work in Malawi and is working hard to establish Tickbird, a sustainable living visitor centre open to adults and children. We also work with the UK Department for International Development by providing additional classrooms to Malawi’s most needed communities.
Build A School also partners organisations in school build programmes in India and the Philippines.
